The ACT_1.5 project and collective formed in 2019, fusing together a pool of 

artists, creative producers, senior climate scientists/industrial analysts, 

and clean energy & technology providers.

We work to a simple, high-focus formula to achieve vital Paris 1.5 degrees compatible rates of decarbonisation: artist led vision - collaboratively delivered - rapid change.

ACT_1.5 is now registered in the UK as a not-for-profit, community interest company.

ACT_1.5 – CORE OBJECTIVES:

1. The decarbonisation of creative industry production(s) at rates compatible with  the vital Paris 1.5 agreement imperatives, and territory specific NDC’s.

2. The active generation and incentivisation of participative audience engagement  with GHG reduction processes and activities and twinned localised schemes of work focusing on the protection, recovery of and urgent regeneration of biodiversity.

3. The public narrativisation of these processes and experiments – via media communication, free-standing film, and direct engagement – to create deeper understanding of the human health opportunities within Paris 1.5 compatible sustainable production (including medium and high skilled employment) the instructive value of pilot by behaviour (in contrast to awareness/advocacy/offset) models, and collaborative social and industrial models.

4. Working in lockstep with climate scientists and industrial analysts, direct engagement of central and local governments, major commercial identities and international institutions to engender smarter industrial and social policies, Paris 1.5 compatible decarbonisation models, and the primacy of human health, biodiversity and climate justice in all gateway decisions.

5. The convening of artist/musician/producer collective units for specific, high impact interventions, and subsequently, the rapid provision of open-source  learning to support and galvanise pilot by behaviour decarbonisation models as widely as possible.
